The Big Smallie Tackle premier jig, the Swimbait  Hair Jig is the most innovative jig design to hit the market since our ancestors were trading the original bucktail hair jigs for coonskin hats!

Cast one out, dead stick it on the bottom, bump the bottom, jig it, swim it through the middle of the water column, or even wake it across the top of the water. You’ll be nearly as convinced as the fish that this thing is alive! Most of the hair jigs are tied a whopping average of 9” in length, but we can tailor them a little shorter or even longer to suit your desires!

We currently offer 4 different series: Spearhead, Pothead, Spearhead Z, and Pothead Z.

Spearheads have a silky soft craft hair head with LOTS of pulsating action no matter the retrieval speed.

Potheads feature a thick, bulging Congo Hair head that pushes a TON of water! They sink very slowly and are most effectively used in the top 1-2 feet of the surface.

Z stands for “Zonker” and features long lively rabbit zonker strip wing along the top of the marabou.

Note: Marabou has numerous very small feather fibers (hence the incredible action) that will retain air. To ensure proper action, dip your lure in the water and make at least half a dozen solid casts/retrieves before you start fishing the big marabou jigs!
